Prices - main view

The Prices page consists of 2 tabs described in the next sections: Energy and Capacity.

prices-main

For user convenience and more efficient search for necessary information, data on the both tabs can be filtered and switched by:

  • Country - switch the screen to the selected area by selecting the needed country from the drill down list - see also section Home / Application overview price-country
  • Single day / Multi day - marking the proper button allows to present data only for one given day or for multiple days. By default Single day is already selected and data for current day (Today) is shown. When switching to the Multi day option the time range is set by default for the upcoming week starting from the current day (Today). User can set the requested date(s) by selecting them from the calendar.

  • Calendar allows user to present quickly the data for exactly selected day or days (in the past, today and in the future). This bar looks slightly different depending on which option Single or Multi day has been selected. In both cases clicking the bar will open the calendar popup.

    • Calendar for Single day allows to select one exact day from the calendar. Here it is also possible to go forward and back one day using the proper arrow buttons. User can also quickly be back to the current day pressing "Today" button at the bottom of calendar popup:

      single-day

    • Calendar for Multi day allows to select days range from the calendar by choosing start and end date. User can select up to 7 consecutive days:

      multi-day

    Note

User's date selection is not remembered during switching forward and back across the different pages so when you are back to Price page, it will be always set as Single day and Today.

Energy

The Energy screen consists of two sections: diagram and table that show the same data in 2 different forms. Both diagram and table have 15-minutes time resolution. The table is sorted in 1-hour section which consists of 4 x 15-minutes intervals. For each 15-minutes period the following prices are presented:

  • Day-ahead - available for all configured countries and presenting the prices of electricity achieved based on supply and demand, which consist on:

    • Forecast - estimated price of electricity for each hour for selected day(s) and country,
    • Official - official price of electricity for each hour for selected day(s) and country.
    Note

In certain situation it is possible to edit manually Forecast and Official prices by pressing Edit values button and enter the values - see section Day-ahead - Edit values.

  • mFRR Energy / aFRR Energy - currently available only for Denmark and presenting the prices for energy market products: mFRR and aFRR, both Up and Down Regulation.

    Note

The prices for mFRR and aFRR cannot be edited here.

Additionally there are few options on diagram section to make user easier to present the needed information:

  • On the right side of the diagram user can select which prices should be presented by marking the proper checkbox.
  • Hovering the diagram area gives a tooltip with all price values selected from the list on the right side for the given timestamp (15-minutes resolution).
  • By default the diagram is presented for whole day 24 hours, but it is possible to show data for the needed time period by resizing time bar and dragging to the selected area.

Day-ahead - Edit Values

As mentioned in the previous chapter in certain situation it is possible to add and edit values of Forecast and Official prices. Of course, such actions have the further consequences about which ETMP application informs before the final confirmation and their implementation to avoid mistakes and errors.

When does it make sense to add manually values of Forecast / Official prices?

When for some reason (e.g. due to outage, technical issue of PC calculating the prices, delays in the data release at the exact time etc.) the spot price is not received automatically and System is not able to retrieve the data during 1 hour after the official release time from Power Exchange side, there is a possibility to add the values manually that System can continue operating as it should.

How to add values of Forecast and Official prices?

  • Press "Edit Values" button,
  • Enter the values for each15 minutes of the given hour,
  • Press "Save" button.

  • Confirm pressing "Yes, save all values" button

Note
  • Forecast values can be added only in the future starting from Today and after upcoming 30 minutes. It is not possible to add values in the past - Edit values button is disabled then.

E.g. it is 27th of November at 10:42 a.m. so user is able to add manually Forecast values starting from today 27th of November at 11:15 a.m.:

    locked-forecast-prices

  • Official prices can be added only for the next day Tomorrow. It is not possible to enter values in the past, today or in the future starting from the day after tomorrow - user is informed about it by tooltip that occurs when hovering information icon

E.g. today it is 27th of November - it means user can add manually Official prices only for tomorrow (28th of November) and all another days are locked:

    locked-official-prices

  • It is not allowed to add price values partially for the selected day - all fields must be filled till the end of this day.

E.g. It is 14th of July at 8:37 a.m. and user needs to enter manually Forecast prices for this day - it means all fields starting from 9:00 a.m. till the midnight must be filled. If not, user is informed about it by warning message :

prices-partially-filled

What should you be aware of?

  • Once added values cannot be undone or edited anymore.
  • Prices entered manually may not match Official values.
  • The entered values of Official prices will be used to update all power exchanges bids so will have an impact to all bids results for the given day!
  • If Official prices are released after the values had been entered already manually and confirmed, then the official released prices will not be overwritten automatically and will be ignored for the selected day.
  • All users are informed that the prices have been added manually by warning icon . Hovering it brings a tooltip with more detailed information.

  • It is also possible to check who entered manually the prices - see section Logs

    logs-official

  • Forecast price values entered manually have no impact to any bids.

Who can add Forecast and Official prices manually?

Only users with Administrator or Guard role are allowed to enter manually Forecast and Official prices.

Capacity

The Capacity screen consists of two sections: diagram and table that show the same data in 2 different forms. Both diagram and table have 1 hour time resolution and for each 1 hour interval the following prices are presented

  • Up / Down mFRR Capacity prices - Early- prices of up and down regulation for mFRR Capacity
  • Up / Down mFRR Capacity prices - Late - prices of up and down regulation for mFRR Capacity
  • Up / Down aFRR Capacity prices - prices of up and down regulation for aFRR Capacity

On the right side of the diagram user can select which prices should be presented by marking the proper checkbox.

Hovering the diagram area gives a tooltip with all price values selected from the list on the right side for the given timestamp (given hour).

Important

It is not possible to add or edit manually mFRR and aFRR Capacity prices. The values are fed automatically just after getting result information from TSO.
